Built on one of the highest sites on Mummy Mountain, this residence presented extraordinary design and construction challenges. The steep terrain required multiple building code variances and complex logistics to obtain approval and execute the build. Designed to capture sweeping views of Pinnacle Peak and the McDowell Mountains, the home welcomes guests through an upper-level arrival courtyard and motor court, with the owners’ garage and living areas located below. Construction required precise coordination of cranes, deliveries, and heavy equipment to navigate the site. The structure incorporates substantial support beams, reinforced concrete, steel, and stone throughout. The soaring roofline follows the mountain’s natural rise, creating a seamless connection between the home and its surrounding landscape, extending views both outward to the distant vistas and inward toward the rugged slopes of Mummy Mountain itself.
